Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion

Well fellow animal lovers, my first post really just had to be about one of my favourite products of all time; Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion  (Palmer's calls it a lotion, but it's a little thinker then what I would class as a lotion).

Firstly, I'd like to point out that since 2008 it has won ten awards. TEN. So I'm clearly not the only one who is in love with this stuff.

It's hard to know where to start with this. It smells like cocoa (amazing), it's not over powering either, which is a bonus as I like to put perfume on during the day. However the smell is long lasting - I can still smell it after a good 11 hours (if I get close).

The next thing I love is the vitamin E in it, I'm automatically drawn to anything with this vitamin in it. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that vitamin E is good for scars, uneven skin tone and stretch marks so with continued use it can even out your skin tone, giving it a youthful appearance and making it an ideal product for use after pregnancy and weight loss. Not only that, but this makes a great after-tanning body lotion and will help make your tan even and longer lasting, fabulous!

Lastly, it does what we look for in every body lotion; it moisturises brilliantly! I have very dry skin but I find that I don't need to reapply during the day, once in the morning is enough to keep my skin happy. It's thick so it's great for dry knees, feet and elbows and after shaving.

Basically I can't get enough of this stuff. I get sad when I see I'm running low and go panic buy another big bottle, I can't fault it. I'm surprised I haven't tried more of Palmer's products, to be fair to myself, I only realised the extent of their products when I went and did a little research for this post. I then got a little over excited and had to calm myself down before I spent silly amounts of money. When I do give 'em a go you'll be the first to know.

Well I think I've waxed lyrical enough, if you haven't tried it, you must! Hope you're having a beautiful week.

Edit: I have just noticed you can save £2 on the Cocoa Butter Formula Night Renewal Cream and Cocoa Butter Soothing Eye Cream or £1 on the Cocoa Butter Gentle Exfoliating Scrub on the Superdrug website (linkage; http://www.superdrug.com/night-cream/palmers-cocoa-butter-night-renewal-cream-75g/invt/275386/
This offer ends on 2nd August, so don't miss out.

A little hello

Hello! I've wanted to make this blog for a while, as it turns out, now I have time to do so.

I've always been interested in cosmetics and toiletries (even as a little girl I had a kiddie make up pallet that I just adored) but I don't like the idea of animals suffering for this obsession. So I strive to buy cruelty free beauty products, and because I love them so much, I figured I would share this love.

I don't want this turning into a rant on animal rights (don't get me wrong, animal rights are still very important) but beauty products should be fun! So I'm going to keep this as light hearted as I can :) I will blog about companies and products that share my love for animals and hopefully bring some inspiration as to your next beauty purchase.

The internet is full of beauty websites (one of my many guilty pleasures) but I have yet to find a good one focusing on products free from animal testing. There is no shortage of these goodies so I'm sure I will find plenty to say if you think you can stand my unprofessional warbling!

Ok, I'm going to have a think about who/what to blog about first. Also please bare with me while I adjust the layout, I used to be good at these things, but that was years ago now.
I'm Liv by the way.
